Auto Art was commissioned by Toyota/Lexus to do the 1999 Motor Trend Import Car of the Year....the '99 GS400. The car, as you all know, is stellar...and so is Auto Art's 1/18 scale rendition of same!
The detail is as we are learning to expect as the "norm" for Auto Art; the essence of this sensuous sedan is captured in its entirety, right >down to the "ready to pounce" stance of tyhe real thing. Paint is smooth and frothy, the wheels, Lexus Sport style, are chromed as is the available option on the full size car. 4 opening doors, a beautiful engine compartment, and a reasonable price of less than 1/2 that
of a Mint model. And ..it's a LEXUS!!! It's about time we had a great model of a LEXUS sedan...and it's finally here.
I may be crazy, but I think we're seeing an AA trend here...the manufacture of parallel/mainstream cars in a new level of detail in the larger, more appropos scale of 1/18! Sure hope there are more to come like this one. It's captivating...get one! (08/20/1999)
