AutoArt 1:18 1998 Chevrolet Corvette- Callaway C12 diecast car

You simply won't find many Callaway images in the diecast marketplace. But if you did, none would be any nicer than this astonishing replica. AUTOart applied all of their model making skills to this hot rod Corvette. First and foremost, precision fit needs to be discussed. The rear hatch, hood and doors fit in their respective places as if Rolex designed them that way. The doors snap shut with aeronautic precision. The removable roof panel snaps out of its perfectly comfortable position in the rear compartment and fits even more precisely over the passenger section. The engine is grand to look at, everything in its place. From beneath, the header color appears 'burned-in' and contrasts well with the blue oil filter and red suspension springs. Fore and aft, the operational suspension has just the right amount of 'give'. The stance of the Callaway is dead-on with the low profile P Zero tires and large diameter wheels. The interior is awash in fine detail. The doorsills bear the Callaway logo on simulated carbon fiber. The gauges and infinitely small dash controls are amazingly realistic. The floors and rear compartment area in charcoal-black have a textured feel and perfectly compliment the incredibly smooth silver finish outside. The finishing touch comes in the form of the Callaway C 12 insignia in a thin chrome metal foil on the gracefully redesigned rear end. If you like Corvettes or Callaway's enhancements, you will have to own this diecast. It is fabulous. (07/24/2000)
