Just another Mustang grocery-getter? Mom can listen to the Mach 630-watt radio/CD system while taking the kids to soccer practice but blow away the garden variety Vettes and Porsches on the way home! Mom has the credentials; a 5.4-liter four-valve DOHC, 590 hp, Garrett supercharged bad boy. She can cruise on errand trips or blast the local quarter mile strip in 12.7 seconds @ 112.8 mph! 0-60 comes in a super quick 4.3 seconds. Top speed - 175 mph. When the switch is thrown to activate the blower, she better hold on tight. The car can operate on gas or alcohol or a combination of the two. Autoart has done their homework on this model brilliantly. There are numerous Internet photos of the real car and the model is precise in its replication. The usual Autoart paint is unmistakably flawless. The door, trunk and hood fit is impeccable. The carbon fiber accents include the mirrors, front and rear air valance as well as the dual pair of side air scoops. The head and taillight lenses are perfectly reproduced and the engine bay is quite startling in its replication. The integral spoiler/trunk lid, is reminiscent of a pro-stock drag machine and compliments the whole package remarkable well. Autoart gets high marks for details such as tire lettering, Brembo brake calipers and disks and interior finish and display. Overall, this is a wonderfully done diecast of a truly note-worthy car. "Hey Mom, can you get us to the movies, quick?" (12/15/1999) (01/05/2000) |
