The 1957 model marked a jump in the popularity of the Corvette, with some major racing victories increasing its reputation as a desirable sports car.

The finish on this model is smooth and shiny, and the two-tone paint and trademark chrome grille make this a good looking car. The hood and trunk open and their fit is fine, but they aren't painted underneath. The engine is molded in black & chrome and without much detail. There is a spare tire in the trunk though.

The doors use the dogleg hinges, but they are fairly well hidden under the dash. Upholstery is hard white plastic with some nice chrome accents, and the floor is molded in a dark color with a flat texture which looks good. The dash isn't too bad - it's white with chrome knobs, and the dials are decals. Steering wheel is all black with a center decal. The chrome outline of the cockpit is sharp - this was one of my favorite details in the 1:1. Overall this is a pretty fair model for the money.
