This is the kit version of Bburago's 1989 Ferrari 348TB and it's one of Bburago's best. THe body has the accuracy you'd expect, but the level of detail in both the interior and engine compartment is admirable considering the low part count found in this price range. Fit and finish is really top notch. The paint is smooth and the operating panels which are preassembled work well. Although dogleg hinges are used on the doors, the are small and unobtrusive. Windscreen, rear quarter and rear windows are glazed. All lenses are clear or colored trasparent plastic. The Ferrari script is raised on rhe deck and tthe prancing horses are separate chromed parts.Interior is done in silver/gray and black plastic, finely modeled and enhanced with guage and console transfers.. As the race version, this variant has all the add-on ground effect parts. Nicely modeled pentagram racing wheels are shod with Michelin tires.

The engine appears in a twin turbo configuration and there's enough detail to make things look busy and realistic right down to the hollowed split twin exhausts. Some paint detailing and appropriate washes can really make all that detail stand out.

The real star of this model is the graphics. Bburago's decals are made by Cartograf and are exceptionally crisp, opaque and on register. Proper application may be a bit daunting to a beginner modeler with all the compound curves that must be nogotiated. Decal softening agents like Solvaset are a must. The Decals have plenty of body strength for their thin carrier film which makes them fairly forgiving of the amount of positioning that must be done. There's ample instructions and views shown in both the instructions and the box art. Time consuming and a bit daunting, yes, but the results are fantastic

This model is a must have for Ferrari collectors. It's a standout in any display
