Probably the
most modeled
car in recent
memory
(outside the
plethora of
Chevrolets and
some Fords)
has got to be
the Dodge Viper. Coupes and the original roadster in every
scale imaginable made by some 20 manufacturers, all hoping
to cash in on the "90's Shelby Cobra". Now, from
Brookfield Collectors' Guild comes .... THE Dodge Viper
GTS...... and I mean THE VERY BEST RENDITION OF
THIS CAR ON THE PLANET!!!!!!
From every angle, this car is perfection! Loaded with details
that all the others either overlooked or blew off as
insignificant are scaled down into this 1/24 beauty.... the seat
belts, the screens on the hood intakes (are actually screens),
the profusely wired and beautifully executed engine, even the
Viper logos on the brake calipers.... they're all there in crisp
detail on a model (the body is constructed from carbon fiber
like the 1:1 scale original) whose build quality is so tight and
correct that there's no variance from model to model. The
frame and engine are diecast and are truly accurate in their
proportion and detail. Build quality is simply 5-star, probably
the best I've seen from any company in this challenging
market.
ADDENDUM: DM has purchased the remaining inventory and now sells the replica through their regular order line. Mail order brochures do not bear DM's name however. They solicit under the name "Car Collector's Guild". The model is otherwise unchanged. (11/15/1998)
