This is the poster child for a diecast repaint. The fourth iteration of this image without any other change, the model may be the nicest of the quartet. The first issue of the model was in plain original and historical form, the car owned by Shelby himself in semi-racing livery. FM followed up with artist, Boris Vallejo's, "Mistress of Fire" repaint. Then came the limited edition cars. The black repaint was limited to 1500 pieces and sold out quickly. This limited edition replica is of 2500 units. The car is, perhaps most familiar in red, a natural for this color. Don't forget that FM made this diecast out of aluminum like the original car. Of the four, this best typifies the 60's image of the 427 Cobra icon.
The issue price is $120.
