Here is Tony's review based on a sample he just received.

A repaint only? Well, not exactly. First, let's not go beyond that for a minute. The paint is richer than ever, smoother too and much more wet-like in appearance. It is metallic in nature and perfectly scaled in. It seems to be clear-coated as it shines in a way that no photograph can capture. The fit of the former diecast was amazing. This one is better! The doors, trunk and hood close to exceptionally tight tolerances. The seats are more supple but still fold forward. The treatment of the interior is the same save for better application of wood trim on the console and lower passenger's side dash. The seatbelts are still as dramatic as before and of course include the roof-mounted shoulder belts. All of the Camaro and Z/28 badging was done again in actual chromed, photoetched metal. The engine compartment looks as real as ever with wiring, heater hoses, perfectly scaled, authentic miniature decals and an anodized gold master brake cylinder. Even the shift linkage on the transmission has been separately fabricated. The copyright on the frame bottom remains 1995 but an addition has been made to include a small photoetched limited edition plate. It is stamped with the Creative Masters logo and will carry a number of 1 to 3000. In addition, there were 12 special examples made for press and distribution purposes. The shipping box has been somewhat modified to include the name Revell below the usual Creative Masters moniker and is slightly larger. The '69 Camaro Z/28 is an accepted classic. The Creative Masters original replication became one as well. There is no doubt in this reviewers mind that this model will stand tall next to both of them.

Some owners may find a problem with the adhesion of the chromed, photoetched emblems on this car. There is no way to ascertain which models may have this malady so be sure to follow this simple procedure before removing the protective tape covering each of the emblems: Rub each emblem with either a pencil point, the wooden tip of a modeling paint brush or a burnishing tool, with moderately firm pressure. Slowly remove the tape by folding it back onto itself, peeling it off while at the same time exerting downward pressure on the emblem with your fingertip. (03/13/2000)
