One of Grand Prix Racing legends comes alive in 1/18 scale courtesy of CMC. Known as the "Silverarrow", this car won many races with many famous drivers in 1954 & 55. But you want to know about the car. OK.
The wheels pay the price of admission all by themselves. Perhaps the best spokes I have seen on any model car. The mesh work on the front of the car is breathtaking. The paint is silver without a flaw. White circles with the famous red 6 are placed on the bonnet and right side (midway) by the steering wheel. No detail on the motor is overlooked. Plan on spending many hours looking for hidden items (through-out the car).
The under-carraige is as exciting as the rest of the car. The interior is superb. The unexpected cloth plaid seat is a knock-out. The framework is evident throughout the inner shell of this beauty. Steering wheel and dash are first-rate, along with the mirrors and windscreen. The only thing these German craftspeople left out was an operating gas cap. However, the beautiful side exhaust pipes make up for it. This is a first rate model. It is beyond giving stars for rating. One look, and you will see what I mean. SHARP! (06/12/2000)
