Motor City USA 1:24 1933 Willys Pro Street diecast car

The first Motor City 1/24 replica we reviewed was the 1limited edition Saoutchick Cadillac and it got raves despite the fact that it was a static model that went out for about $500. Its exquisite finish and chrome work wowed us all. Now owner Alan Novak is moving in a new direction - a new white metal replica of one of the customizers' favorites - the 1933 Willys.

If you're used to the engine, opening doors and trunk, steering, suspension, etc. you will have to suspend your preconceptions. Here is a hefty replica (REALLY heavy) that has an interior, but none of the other "standard" trappings of precision diecast. What it DOES offer is a very fine finish and it looks great "on the shelf."

Motor City offers a choice of colors - Red, Black, Metallic Wineberry and Plum and1 to each of these, the flame job pictured can be added. For the standard version, you'll pay $129 + S&H. For added flames, the cost is $134 + S&H. You can phone Alan, fax or write: Motor City USA, 13400 Saticoy St., North Hollywood CA 91605. 1-818-503-4835 FAX 1-818-503- 4580 (06/1998)
