I just got home with the blue 'vette, and I have to hand it to Exoto; this is a sweet model car that lives up to the promises made. First off, the rear DOES NOT slope down. Yes, I know the pictures we've seen in the last couple of days seemingly show this; but the truth is that it's an illusion caused by the extreme definition of the character lines of the rear fenders' "torpedoes" in contrast to the car's beltline. I'll be danged if when in the hand, the car isn't exactly what it's supposed to be. Though detail is very, very good throughout, there are a couple of concessions to price here; the interior is not carpeted, and the headlights do not swivel up into position. There is no working suspension, nor does the convertible top come off.

But for those who must have this car, these questions will be made moot upon sight of the wonderful wheels and tires, the deeply detailed sidepipes, and the lavish finish that covers this model. Chrome and glazing are top flight. Engine detail is what you'd expect of Exoto progeny; there's full wiring and a lot to keep the eye happy here. Shut lines and those marvelous gills are razor sharp throughout. Call me giddy, but I'm in love.
