The excellence that is this model is found in the abundant details. Let's start outside. The paint and graphics are rich and playful. The blue patches appear sewn on, apropos since Burton of London is a sponsor. The plastic parking and marker lights are astonishingly detailed, as are the headlights. Since we're at the front of the car, I can't overlook some of the best detail work. There are three wire mesh covered grills. Behind each is a thoroughly lifelike and almost imperceptible photoetched radiator cooler. On either side of the grill are brake cooling ducts. These lead back and attach to the front brakes via flexible metal tubing. The tubing moves harmoniously with the steering. Now that's some accuracy for a diecast replica! There are coil springs and actuators that render functional suspension. The operation of the doors is a work of diecast art. They open inward and spring shut with the slightest push. Let's look inside. The austere racing cockpit is all business. The dual seats are flexible and have a wonderful feel and give to them. Prerequisite fabric belts are in place along with photoetched buckles. The dash and even the pedals have great detail. The engine is replete with hoses, wiring, a photoetched cooler under the vented engine cover and wire mesh fabrication. The fuel cell up front is remarkably realistic and the area is loaded with tubing, battery cables and flexible fuel lines. Exoto built every conceivable detail into this model. They will capture your attention for hours. I know they will mine.
