Exoto 1:18 1971 Ferrari 312B- Mario Andretti- 1971 Grand Prix of Monaco diecast car

Very subtle changes mark the differences between this and the previous #6 Mario Andretti 312B (GPC97061) that won the 1971 Grand Prix of South Africa and this version. This iteration, with Shell® sponsorship, ran at the 1971 Grand Prix of Monaco. Aside from the Shell® logos painted onto the car, twin blue stripes now grace the long, lean and flowing body from the tip of the photo-etched radiator-filled snout, back through the cylindrical tub, to the 12 cylinder engine's cover. Photo-etched rivets are imbedded along the body.

Each of Exoto's Ferrari 312B models, regardless of it's driver or sponsorship, have the immeasurable detail and operational function that sets it apart from any other 312B diecast on the planet. Of course the precise fit and wonderfully slick paint finish is here, we've grown to expect that, but so too, is the highly accurate attention to detail called for by the history of each car replicated. These were not terribly large cars in real life and that comes through in looking at the model. They were little more than spaceship-powerful go-karts on massively wide wheels and tires. The treads are perfectly reproduced. The suspension works, fore and aft. The engine features flawlessly modeled fuel lines and plug wiring, 6 per side. The exhaust pipes prance backward in two three-set teams to exit behind twin photo-etched coolers. Spring coil shocks and wire mesh velocity stacks adorn the model with a flare for realism. The inboard disc brakes and fully detailed rear half shafts beautifully accentuate the technology of the era. Don't overlook this masterpiece of racing, every Ferrari fan needs it in their collection.
