Whether you are a Prost fan, an aficionado of Ferrari racing machines or just a fan of diecast models, you will likely see this baby as exquisite. We have come to know most of Exoto's miniature miracles by now and this Ferrari 641/2 series of models is one that helped elevate them to the realm of the unbelievable in terms of detailing status. The legendary Ferrari 12 cylinder engine has been reproduced so meticulously that many owners of the model cannot believe that Ferrari did not engineer the diecast motor themselves. The replication of the carbon fiber pieces, especially the rear wing and front spoiler, are ingeniously crafted. Engine wiring, linkage, functioning suspension components and fabulous cockpit detailing are all here as on the rest of the series. What sets this car apart is the Alain Prost figure in the driver's seat. Pensive, his attention is fully fixed on the Olivetti® computer. Loaded with times from Longines, my imagination tells me he is studying the telemetry of his last practice session before making another assault on the Japanese circuit. Tony Keusseyan himself reflects on Prost's gaze as being, "The professor at work." I concur. I can also see the master's hand at work in crafting this beautiful replica. The perfectly scaled computer is supplied with the model and shows a data-filled screen and metal antenna. As with all Exoto products, the fit and finish is dramatically accurate and precise. This may be my favorite 641/2 so far. Maybe yours too.
