The "Origins of Speed" collection features 1/18th scale die cast 1929 Ford Model A roadster bodies on 1932 Ford frames. Based on the first "hot rods" that originated out of southern California in the mid-1930's through the late 1940's, this limited series of eight releases faithfully reproduce the early days of automotive high performance.
This Black street racer replicates a classic Model 'A' V-8 powered roadster with "Full-House" engine to include triple carburetors and chrome bonnets, aluminum intake manifold and heads, and "beehive" oil filter. Other features include distributor ignition, with engine-mounted coil and trunk-mounted battery, '29 Ford windshield, frame-mounted headlights and '39 Ford "Teardrop" taillights. Kelsey-Hayes "bent spoke" wire wheels with chrome hubcaps and vintage Firestone tires complete the street racer look.
