Jouef 1:43 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta diecast car

Jouef Evolution created outstanding models. The small 1/43rd scale was not immune from fascinating details just because of its size. This Ferrari 250 GT proves that. There is outstanding detail under the hood, including the photoetched hood scoop screen. The grill, the unbelievable wheels and the 'Ferrari' trunk insignia are also photoetched to perfection. The windshield frame, rear window frame and even the door frames are photoetched as well. So too, is the diminutive treatment of the windshield wipers. The doors open to disclose incredible detail within and close to tight tolerances. The trunk opens wide. The rear suspension actually works! These are features we would expect from the larger scales but in this tiny package, continue to amaze even today. The paint is thick and smooth and the plastic parking lights in front, in clear and the taillights in the rear, along with the minute yellow Ferrari stickers, help set off the 'look' of this gorgeous Berlinetta. Even beneath the car, we find great detail work. These 1/43rd Jouef's are truly big treasures in small packages. (02/10/2000)
