If you are a fan of the legendary 911 and like your surprises small, find this model! In talking with some educated collectors, I've heard the white paint is not suited to this car. I have to agree. But it is applied evenly, richly and is accented wonderfully in red. It is all here even in 1/43rd. The front hood opens to display the gas filler tube and full sized spare. The doors, with photoetched window frames, windows halfway up, open to show off good dash detail and 'soft-feel' seating. The photoetching includes the windshield wipers we have grown accustomed to on these little Jouef's, windshield and rear window frames and rear side windows. The rear suspension is 'live' and operates before your eyes as you turn the model over. There too you will see good detail in the suspension and exhaust systems. The engine is a sight to see. Get out the magnifying glass, you don't want to miss this. I don't know how Porsche wires the real thing; so how did Jouef do this magical trick? But there it is, wonderfully done. If you like the 911, you simply have to own this little jewel. (02/10/2000)
