The Ford “Mustang Mach-III” is a 2-place “Concept” convertible. All styling elements work in concert to create a gorgeous car. The Mach-III is front engine, rear wheel drive, 3000 lb. beauty, powered by a supercharged 450 horsepower 4.6 liter OHC V8; coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission which allows 0-60 MPH times of around 4.0 seconds and a top speed of over 175 MPH.

When I first saw the Maisto rendition of the Mustang Mach-III, I was quite taken with the pleasing lines of the entire vehicle. There are several scoops and sculptured details. A center console runs from the dash, between the seats and on to the rear deck. Under the hood is a well-detailed V8 engine with supercharger and wiring. Chromed wheels with 5-bifurcated spokes are shod with low-profile Goodyear Eagle GS-C tires. Three taillights are neatly inlayed in each side of the tastefully rounded rear end. Smoothly applied red paint and black interior create a great looking color contrast. Sculptured black bumpers protect front and rear ends. The low windshield frame has a dip in the center, with a mirror built into the back of the frame. As on all Maisto 1/18th scale models, the steering wheel functions and the suspension has working springs.

This is one model I will purchase in several colors. Take a close look at this Maisto Mustang, for many it will be just too good-looking to pass up.
