Maisto’s 1996 Dodge Viper coupe is finished in white with two dark blue stripes running front to rear. The wheels are finely cast with thin spokes, fitted with Goodyear lettered
tires. A two-slat curved wing looks very racy on the rear deck. Tilting the front hood/fenders unit reveals the heart of the Viper; a V-10 engine done in red with “Viper” on the valve covers.
Plenty of cables and hoses run to various under-hood components. Hood louvers are cut through the hood. All lights and mirrors are well done. Windshield and rear window/deck lid fit well, with neat black edges. Windshield wipers fit well and white letters “Viper GTSR” adorn the top of the windshield Door hinges are a different type than the familiar dog leg style and give a much neater appearance. Interior is blue and black. All markings are neatly stamped.
I had no plan to include a Viper in my collection but once I saw this Maisto offering, I just couldn’t pass it up. Check it out…it is a beauty and a real eye catcher in the display
cabinet!
