Paul's Model Art 1:24 1935 Mercedes-Benz 770K Sedan- Emperor Hirohito- Burgundy (Discontinued) diecast car

The mythical "Großer Mercedes", by definition "car of the mighty ones", found a place in the fleets of many aristocratic courts around the world: the Japanese Emperor ordered three of them! His 1935 model, a first series chassis with "pullman-limousine" body, was characterized by the lack of external exhaust pipes on the right side of the bonnet: one of the few examples in the production of the 770K.

In its beautiful Black-Burgundy livery, PMA's offering is an exact replica of the prototype present in the Mercedes-Benz Museum. The first precision replica offered by the German manufacturer, it is not an original release. First issued in 1987 by Lemaco, in 1989 it was re-boxed by Jouef. Accurately finished, profusely detailed, the model fully renders the charisma of an Imperial coach! The smooth paint is enriched by neatly applied Gold pinstriping, the stunning effect being completed by a feast of chrome detailing! The Gold Chrysanthemum adorns the rear doors and graces the imposing front grille, where the MB star gives way to more proper decor. The opening doors disclose a lavish interior, where, more than the velour carpet or detailed panels, the rear seats in NichiJin silk reveal its true opulence! The model shows signs of its age, in the engine bay where detail is lacking, as well as in the incorporation of poseable rather than steerable front wheels. Minor faults, indeed: if one is willing to 'listen', this replica has much to 'tell'! Now discontinued, the issue price was $195.
