The 1953 FJ Holden Special Sedan, long admired by our Australian friends, is back for its 50th anniversary, masterfully and lovingly reproduced by Trax of Australia. Trax has done a superb job on this one and their attention to detail is apparent everywhere. The build quality rivals the "mints" and exceeds them in many areas. The doors, bonnet and lid fit, and function, snugly. The black paint is flawless and has a "still wet" appearance. The under bonnet (hood) detail is right there with wiring, hoses, even battery cables; all the details we now expect in our diecasts. The interior, with its right hand drive, is accurate right down to the tiny chrome ringed gauges, red upholstery and authentic rubber floor mats. This little beauty even includes a reprint of the original owners manual!
This model may not be familiar to many collectors in the states, even though it was produced by General Motors in Australia. But if you are truly a lover of the automobile as I am, you won't regret putting this one on your shelf.
