This diecast review is from a ladies viewpoint. Hope ya'll will agree. The Franklin Mint replica of the 1967 Airstream is Big & Beautiful. Outside it looks like nothing more than a large aluminum can! But upon closer inspection you'll find an opening door with a finely etched screen door inside. First fold-out the attached "step" and once inside you are met with dark-blue carpeting, finely printed country blue cloth on the furniture, bed-spreads, and many pillows. The windows have been done tastefully with blue & white matching curtains (same country print). Some of the amazing detail: the frig opens to show wire shelving and the gas stove almost wants to work from the two fully plumbed butane bottles on the outside. This "luxury" travel trailer has three compartments; there are Living/Cooking, Sleeping, and Bathroom units. There is a real sliding door into the Fully Detailed Bathroom! (Ladies like bathrooms)! Oh LOOK, there is a large mirror over the sink!! The GREAT thing about this model is that the top lifts off to provide a TOTAL view of the warm, well decorated interior. The BAD thing is that it's discontinued! In General, I could be happy in this diecast and give it 4-stars (five if the outside finish was better)! The issue price was $195. DISCONTINUED 1998.
