  UT 1:18 1999 BMW Z3 Roadster 2.8 diecast car

Definitely for the young at heart, this puppy rocks! Regardless of age, this diecast will appeal to your playful side. The brilliant orange color, popularized by the Copperhead concept car to the more current Miata Evolution Orange, signifies a more joyous departure from the mundane. UT has captured this spirit beautifully! The finish: As skillfully applied as by BMW itself, the paint flows smoothly over every curve and crevice of the gorgeous Z3's body. It is metallic, exactly scaled. The paint gives an added dimension of depth to the appearance of the model. The application of the badging is accurate. The extra paint touches simulating the windshield washer nozzles, key entry on the door handles, back-up lights and side markers lend more realism.

The interior sports seatbelt and foot pedal authenticity and good overall detail. The detail is also excellent, especially for this affordable model, in the engine bay, exhaust system and wheels and tires. Brake calipers, as we have almost come to expect, show through the BMW wheels. The fit: The headlight lens covers blend harmoniously into the bodywork. The doors, trunk lid and hood melt nearly seamlessly from one body panel to the other. The stance and 'look' of the roadster is dead on.

It matters not how old you are, you would look good in this 'Bimmer'. And don't listen to the 'over the hill' set, this diecast will look terrific in your collection. UT continues to offer us the cream of modern automotive's crop. (05/26/2000)
