YEARS
ago.
A
companion
to
the 49 Woody Wagon, this replica is head and shoulders above its
sibling in the current FM mode of conscientious quality control and
accuracy. Finished in authentic Bimini Blue, the car sports a 2-tone
tan and red interior with the option of a raised and lowered top (2
tops, twice the fun, and a welcome new/reinstated feature.)
As is now FM policy, this new Ford features a fully operating
suspension as well as articulated seats. The real eye-catcher on this
car is the new wheel sets. Though my sample came with paint
covering them, FM has accurately replicated the very handsome
hubcap/ trim ring wheel trim. The offending paint is easily chipped
off via the use of an ExActo Knife with a #11 blade... be sure to
scribe around the outside of the trim ring where it meets the
whitewall tire plastic ring. It's a 30 minute job. HOPEFULLY
THIS WILL BE CORRECTED ON LATER EXAMPLES....
THIS SHOULD NOT BE A NECESSARY TASK ON A
MODEL OF THIS QUALITY!!!!! I'm sure FM will attend to this
correction.
At $120, this colorful, classic FORD is an important addition to the
