Here is an unusual approach to diecast modeling- a visible"
car, with the left half cast in clear acrylic so that all of the "guts" of the vehicle are revealed. I believe the entire replica is cast in acrylic, rather than just the clear half. It is the same car as the previously issued Petty Olds and is well detailed and crafted.
It will be interesting to see if the demand for this very different model equals that of the more conventional approach. Certainly we all might want one for the novelty, but not an entire shelf of these. The issue price is $135. (2/23/98)
