LIMITED EDITION OF 3,000 AVAILABLE ONLY AT PEBBLE BEACH AND AT THE FM ANNUAL CAR SHOW SEPTEMBER 14, 1997. Here is one of the cars which started the sports car boom in America after WW II. A British import, not particularly powerful or fast, but a car whose feel and lines defined what Americans wanted and a car designed with Americans in mind. It was a sheer joy to drive. The body style was actually a bit dated when it first arrived here in the U.S. market, but it was love at first sight.

This reproduction by FM captures much of that original excitement and offering it at Pebble Beach surrounded by all those great full sized automobile classics in August was the perfect launch pad for this little gem. Detail by FM on this model is not as good as FM can do and has done on other models. Door hinge scaling is a bit large and the dash instrumentation detail is poor. The cast detail on the engine and accessories is fair. The deep green paint finish however, fits this model quite nicely and has been applied beautifully smooth. Hood and door fittings are good.

This little model has a great stance and while a bit smaller than most of the other cars in your collection, stands big as an important representation of a noble car and good reminder of a true classic. DISCONTINUED 11/1997. (8/27/97)
