This year's Pebble Beach/FM Annual Car Show limited edition is the 1949 Ford Custom Convertible. 3,000 replicas were produced in a striking light green shade. The car, like its blue standard production counterpart, comes with both convertible top and tonneau cover. The number plate is riveted to the inside back trunk wall. Paperwork includes a green tri-fold Certificate of Authenticity that references the PB and FM HQ venues, provides technical specs and a history of the marque.
The technology on this replica is that of 1996 - this is a special color run and not a re-tooling of then-standard diecast technology. The issue price of $145. DISCONTINUED 10/1998. (08/17/1998)
