Since the red 2000 VW will not available until 2000 I thought a preview might be in order since the car stands on my desk now! I have never seen so much detail on a Franklin Mint image before. Here a short list: doors and hood open (Normal!), suspension (Okay), sliding windows in the doors, that really work smoothly. (Great). It goes on: sliding front seats, cloth seat-belts in front and rear, carpet on the floorh as well as a headliner, working sun visors with factory-stickers on them, removeable rear bench, removeable trunk cover inside, photoetched net in the front doors. A removeable trunk mat can be found over a spare tire loaded with tools. Underneath, the under-carriage is very nicely done. Under the hood the engine compartment is loaded with colours, cables and wires and a removeable dip-stick!!. The fuel cap can be openend too. You can open the glovebox and there are a pair of black gloves inside. And to crown it all off is the little vase with a cammomile in it!!! Even the black edges of the windows are great. To my k;nowledge it is the best model from the Franklin that I have ever seen and the price is friendly too. Keep it up FM. The issue price is $105. Comments by member Klaus Unverzagt.
