Just wanted to share with everyone about my latest acquisition. The 1:12th scale 1907 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost Ultra came and it is, in a word, "Magnificent." This model is truly a work of art. It arrived in flawless condition (haven't had that happen before). The paint is very shiny. The doors and trunk lid close with a "click" and door gaps are simply not there. The engine detail is very realistic and intricate, with lots of wires. The windshield swings out, the wooden box on the dash opens. The gear and brake levers move and affect the cables on the undercarriage. There are even separate small metal brackets on the leaf springs, and the handcrank turns the radiator fan. The seats are covered with in-scale leather and have folding armrests. And of course the highlight of this marvel are the working headlights and lamps which shine brightly in a darkened room. My sixteen-year old son is even enthralled with the car, despite the subject matter. FM has produced a truly amazing model. Complaints? Just one, from my wife. "It's too big"! She has issues.
