When The Franklin Mint sought the approval to produce their 450 SL, the folks at Mercedes Benz requested a favor. They wanted a special color European version, limited to 450 units. This makes this the rarest-ever Franklin Mint model, to my knowledge. While not numbered on the chassis, each bears its number on the hang-tag and the box. The European model has with single headlamps rather than dual and no bumper guards. The interior is black. Other than the color, this is the same car that has drawn rave reviews on our site and from our collecstors. It comes with the same accessory pack as the consumer versions.
