Overview
This Porsche 910 variant is in the livery of the Scuderia Lufthansa 1966 Nurburgring car sponsored by Martini and Lufthansa and driven by Hans-Dieter Dechent and Robert Huhn in the prototype class. The car was a DNF due to engine problems but looked darned good on the tow truck.
The model offers decent bang for the buck. The fit, finish and content put it on par with Minichamps, AUTOart and even some of Exoto's early releases. Features include working suspension and operating panels all with tight even shutlines. Screening is used for the twin intake baskets and the oil cooler face. The small bits of hardware and dash buttons are tiny castings and the real cloth harness hardware is photoetched and diecut. The black anodized 5-spoked wheels are shod in Dunlop Racing 7.00 L-13 rears and 5.25 M-13 fronts.
This rather simple little race car has been accurately reproduced and will admirably fill an important position in your Porsche racing stable.
