04/24/2010: 2010 WISH LIST VOTING ENDS: 1959 DODGE ROYAL LANCER ENDS UP ON TOP

Thanks to those participants in the 2010 Zone Wish List -- you made it one of the all-time most interesting selections. Thanks also to Legacy Motors Diecast Models and The CarRoom Magazine for sponsoring the Wish List.

Top vote-getting for both 1:24 and 1:18 categories is the 1959 Dodge Royal Lancer. It's an eye-popping selection with its jukebox tail lamps, bright and multi-colored paint schemes, fanciful bright work, and size. The 1959 Dodge Lancer also challenged for the top spot in last year's polls, and also in the 1:24 list in prior years.

In 1:18, the faithful contingent dedicated to seeing the Reventlow Scarab made were back in force, as well as those who want to see the Lotus 19 racer made.

In 1:24, Buicks dominated the top 25 spots.

1:43 collectors stayed true to their devotion to 1963 Chrysler Turbine, as they did in the last polling. Cadillacs made a strong showing.

On behalf of the Diecast Zone community, we will present these results to the leading manufacturers.
