Some enterprising contributors to the Diecast Zone Webfund 2012 chose to raise money for the Zone by donating some of their models. They auctioned the models on our Zone Auctions and then contributed the resulting funds.
We have taken a clue from this practical approach and are making it easier to follow this route to financially bolster the Zone community.
You can choose between listing models yourself or send models to Legacy Motors for listing and fulfillment.
List Your Donated Models Yourself
If you only have one or two models to donate, it may make most sense to list yourself. Once the model sells, you send the proceeds to Legacy Motors via check, PayPal or using your credit card on our Zone Webfund Page. For further guidance, feel free to email us at ZoneAuction@gmail.com and let us know you’re going to manage the auction yourself.
Have Legacy Motors List Your Donated Models
If you prefer Legacy Motors to handle all the arrangements, simply send the models to us. But first, email us at ZoneAuction@gmail.com and include a description of your models including manufacturer, color, make/year, condition and whether or not it has the original packaging and documentation. It would be helpful if you could suggest a market value for your donation as well.
When we get your email, we’ll respond with further specifics on this approach and how to get reimbursed for shipping costs.
