Carroll Shelby was born into modest means. After WWII, he became a chicken farmer. Until a friend showed him the open road. Shelby never looked back. Great bio here.
We wish we still had all the great models offered over the years that bear his imprint. But we don't. I've selected among those we still have a few favorites.
In 1:24, I was surprised we still have a couple of Shelby Cobras from TFM. 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 and a muscle-flexing Shelby GT-350
At the other end of the scale, we still have a couple of Kyosho's magnificent Shelby Cobra 427 in 1:12. In silver or Guardsman blue. Act quickly because they may not be available again until next decade.
In 1:18: from Shelby Collectibles, we have the historic Aston Martin DBR1 Shelby drove to win the 1959 Le Mans. From Lane Exact Detail, we have one or two left of their cherished black 1967 Shelby GT 500.
