The 10th model to cap a decade of Limited Editions
The car we selected was a gift from Bill Mitchell, then GM’s Styling Chief, to his brilliant predecessor, and the creator of the Corvette, Harley Earl. It became Harley’s personal Corvette. It was the first Sting Ray convertible, although it was offered with an auxiliary hard top. The car featured a unique blue paint scheme with a white stripe. The super-cool feature for its time was the outside exiting exhaust pipes. Finally, the wheels were cast aluminum, not offered to the public until an option in 1964.
The interior featured custom-fitted leather with matching white inserts.
The choice is appropriate for the tenth in the auspicious series that began in 1999 with a 1998 Corvette in Aztec Gold.

Each model will bear a unique member plaque in the trunk identifying it as “One of XXX” – the final count to be determined by our members’ commitments. Once we close the edition, no more will be produced. Not ever!
