Having owned two '62 Oldsmobile's (a Starfire and a Ninety-Eight) I'm content with NOT
owning any more REAL collector cars. I'm not the least mechanically gifted and I have no desire to have to fix or worry about fixing a real car when it breaks down. Plus for me, it was always a worry when I'd drive the cars, as I didn't want them damaged. Then there is the storing and maintenance of them. When I began my 1:24 die-cast collecting, it gave me peace of mind that I could have as many OLD cars as I wanted and I didn't have to deal with any of the (as I saw them) frustrations of owning a REAL one. We are all different.
