Funny thing, speaking of tampo's...
I just happened to have purchased my second ACME 1/24 66 GTO of Ace Wilson's ROYAL drag racer because I really liked the shade of gold and wanted to make a semi stock street version of said model. It went well! And I used Q-Tips & lacquer thinner. Cheap stuff sold at Wal Mart. But be careful. Lacquer will make you SICK! And will hurt your liver more then a truck load of homemade moonshine!
Anyway, it came out nice, no ghosting fron the old tampo and a little wet sanding of 8000 grade and some detailer wax/polish and here are the results. PS If you buy two models, you can take out the redline spares in the trunks to have a set of REDLINE ROYALS on one version. All done in a single afternoon!
