In the pic, where the color is darker, it's easy to see
that the paint is a very light metallic. Not having seen the model as it would be typically displayed it would be, I imagine, impossible to tell if the metallic is easy to detect and if it is would that be bothersome to the collector?

For me, probably not. I have models here that are more concerning than this Cadillac's paint being untypical of the era, and I can and do, live with those. You can get used to such things

After reading all the above posts the metallic green paint now makes more sense.
So really, Chav, the car is correctly painted a light metallic as is the real car and as it now stands.
ESVAL, have modeled the repainted car and not the original as first built - green paint sans metal flake? Perhaps they had no definitive data on the first paint job and went for what is known.
