John I drove a Corvette once in my life. It was a 1996 or 97
It was very creaky and rattlely and the rear end clunked like it was going to fall out. Also the interior was very unappealing and plasticy. For me I’m all about plush well detailed and refined interiors. Here in NYC Speed or handling aren’t a criteria for buying a car. Your lucky to go over 65mph here without having to slam on the brakes. I will admit that the interiors on Corvettes have gotten much nicer and more refined. Like Ricks Corvette. Those have a nicer interior then the 1980s or 90s earlier 2000s. That was another reason the latest ones are more appealing to me. But like I said I just don’t get hyped up or excited about Corvettes or what the next one will look like or what features it will have. And sports cars in general especially Lambos, Ferrari’s , Porsche etc do NOTHING for me. In fact if I won one I’d sell it and couldn’t care at all to keep it. Remember again WHERE I live. I couldn’t enjoy such a car with the heavy traffic, terrible roads and disrespectful , jealous AHs that would likely mess with such a car. Just not practical to own here
