(Pic) I bought the first '84 Mitsu Starion in Phoenix right from the General Manager of the
dealership. I loved that car, but it was a 145 hp. dog. I got whipped by a hopped up VW
with four guys in it.

So, I spent $1,100 at Callaway Turbo Systems for a Stage II kit - mainly a large intercooler and a chip. Made it a true 6 second car. Pretty great for a 4 banger truck engine.

Kept an eye out for that VW. Never saw it again.

I put the wastegate on backwards by mistake and probably pushed about 12# of boost through the cylinders. Surprised it didn't disintigrate. It was pretty quick though, LOL.

Based upon my experience with the Starion my son's first car was a Mitsu Turbo Cordia that was a lot of fun.
