The early street Corvette's, which were, I think, actually made by Revell are pedestrian but effective. I own three and favor the 1967 in Marina Blue over the orange 'Drag' and the yellow coupe. They also originally sold for something like $49.

That said, those same molds were re-purposed later for racing editions which are decorated accurately enough but are not really enhanced in their bones to be true racing replicas and were priced at $100 or more over the original street version.

That said, the Jaguar XJR9-LM are fantastic models and comparable to same period front line Exoto models. They had a very sharp price when introduced - something less than the Racing Legends series as I recall.
I have three versions (Silk Cut LM Winner, Castrol Daytona Winner and Green Prototype) and can recommend them highly.
