Thanks Chris, yes I am, Dad even had some
memorabilia which I have now including a hand written story and a picture of Ernie with some big wig military guy in Italy. I have a copy of the first movie with Burgess Meredith I think is his name and both books about his life. Dad was proud to say he was related to Ernie. Unfortunately looks like his doll makes a better Henry Ford (your pictures are great) than it does Ernie. He was a small, fragile and sickly man, balding, never seemed very happy unless he was "in the action" and even complained then. But he became an iconic WWII figure and seemed to touch the American heart.
