Ha! Fun is the word...Car and Driver magazine
described the '65 GT350 as a "brand new, clapped out race car", or words to that effect. Very accurate. Mine was an ex drag racer with a blown engine. I found a '66 Shelby short block, and rebuilt from there. Ran like a beast, all clunky and loud and way too much fun. I sold it in 1980 for 5k, as I needed capital to start a business. Also sold beloved '60 Austin Healey 3000 that I had lovingly restored from '71 to '76. Regrets? Sure, I miss every cool car I ever had. On the other hand, that little business I started has served us well for 40 years....good trade off maybe?
