Pic: Barn Find: A ‘56 Ford Thunderbird Restoration Project:
Just recently, I located a damaged Brooklin ‘56 Thunderbird for sale for next to nothing. A real barn find! Looks like it’s had a rough life though it’s not missing any parts and has no broken bumpers. A solid car, it is a good candidate for a full rotisserie restoration. I had always hoped Brooklin might do a coral pink ‘56 ‘Bird so here’s my opportunity to have one. Car is on the way. Since I have three red ‘56 ‘Birds this will be done in Sunset Coral possibly with a white top i yet without detailing so it will resemble Brooklins of that vintage. Restoration will begin with disassembly and stripping of all the paint. Then will follow any necessary body work. If done right, this car could be a real beauty.

A ‘56 ‘Bird by Brooklin in restorable condition for $15 was an offer I simply couldn’t refuse. I plan to take pictures of the project as it progresses.

This car

Will become like this
