There was one in our block in a Winnipeg suburb in the early '60s. A turquoise coupe. And across the
Street, our neighbour had a bubble car, an Isetta I think. These stood out on a street of '58 Biscaynes, '59 Strato Chiefs, Fairlane sedans and the odd Plodge. Rarely saw a Cadillac, never a new Lincoln or Imperial. Too "showy" for that solid middle class part of town. A Borgward was OK because it was just odd, like the psychiatrist who owned it.
