PICs: Brooklin Diaries for Feb 7
"Hello, dear reader and welcome to the first February Diary. February…already.

We are so busy here that we blinked and January was gone! We have been working on new masters, casting old favourites and trying a little alchemy.

PATTERN MAKING – SARAH
The new BML30 (1938 Cadillac Imperial Sedan Limousine) is getting there. Sarah has been doing a lot of work reshaping the pieces to make sure that they fit perfectly before heading to mould making.

BODY CASTING – ANDY B
Andy is casting up an old favourite (and a best seller!) the BRK195, a 1954 Henney-Packard 8-passenger Limo. One of our largest models with a weight to match.

BODY CASTING – ANDY B
Top work, Andy. Only a little fettling to be done around the windows and wheel arches.

BODY CASTING – ANDY B
These are now heading to Rich to have all of that excess metal cut away.

FETTLING – MARK R
As usual, we are working on some Riva Aquarama boats. Mark is cleaning up the dashboards that he cast the day before.

IT’S A KIND OF MAGIC
We have mastered the art of pouring the white metal…now we just need to figure out how to turn it into gold.

FETTLING – RICH
Those BRK195 bodies will have to wait, Rich is busy cleaning up some window cages.

CASTING – NEIL
These are secondary castings for the BML31 (1940 Nash Ambassador Eight Convertible). We use pewter for this stage as it allows for a higher quality mould cavity with a better surface for production.

FETTLING – ANDY C
The last few 1970 Buick GS 455 bodies (BRK226) are just about ready for painting.

SUB ASSEMBLY – JAMES
These hubs for the BRK226 Buick have deep recesses in the wheel hubs that need painting.
This has to be done by hand. We have tried telling James that it would be easier with a brush…"

Anyone know the color of the 1970 Buick? (EOM) by Frank Gioia #25341.1
I believe it's silver (EOM) by John Roberts #25341.1.1
