The German Brooklin Club was started by Dietrich Lohmann...
and I was involved with the beginnings of the Club's Film-themed specials and also the Club logo. James Dean's Mercury, the first model, was my suggestion as was the Bullit Mustang. I set up the link with Jeff Brickett who then owned Omen Miniatures. I had nothing to do with the Monroe cars. The Club logo was a painting of a Cadillac Eldorado Brougham in front of a gas station which I did for Dietrich. He paid a visit to my home to collect the painting. As a German with a passion for American cars, he drove a Japanese Toyota! Nice bloke - I'm not sure what he's doing nowadays.
