A vinyl top on a 1/43rd scale model car by Victory Models
Here is an example of a vinyl top made around 20 years ago. It has a satin finish and I think it looks very realistic. It is our Victory 1941 Packard Custom 180 Formal Sedan, which was owned at the time, by the late Bob Turnquist, who was kind enough to give us the whole day to measure and photograph this car, as well as his 1942 Packard Custom 180 Convertible Victoria, by Darrin. The man who made this master is no longer in the model business, or else I would ask him to explain how this was done so well.
