Brooklin Diaries for Mar 7
"Hello readers and collectors.
Since you last visited us we have been working on a new master, reworking an old one and feeling pink! Come on in and see what we have been doing.PATTERN MAKING – DARREN
The BML 30 master (1938 Cadillac Imperial Sedan Limousine) is having a little work done to make sure that the bumper fits tightly.PATTERN MAKING – DARREN
This grey stuff is ‘Plastic Padding’ or chemical metal.
Once the two parts are mixed together Darren has about a minute to get it in place before it starts to go hard. Once it has cured it is rock solid and can be machined filed, sanded etc.MOULD MAKING – NEIL
This is quite an old model, the BRK 153 (1936 Hudson Terraplane Convertible). It is being reworked, detail added and having a colour change to become the BML 16.FAME! WE’RE GANNA LIVE FOREEEVEEEERRR…
This rather…interesting…cover is on the latest issue of Lifetime – a (very expensive) watch magazine. (The watches are expensive, not the magazine).IN FOCUS
Is that a giant watch or are they small cars?
Our photo doesn’t do the image justice, our cars look amazing in the actual magazine.
We are very happy that they chose to use our models as a stage for these beautiful timepieces.FETTLING – RICH
The BML 31 (1940 Nash Ambassador Eight Convertible) is well into the the build schedule. These should be the last of the castings.PAINT ROOM – TIM
Now that the BML 31 bodies are almost done, Tim is spraying up the smaller components like these seats.PRETTY IN PINK
If you haven’t already seen on our social media pages, we have released a new Pink Collection.
These are colours of some of our more popular models in various shade of pink. They are limited to 200 pieces so if you would like one in your collection make sure you buy one before they all flaming go…Flamingo…Flamingoes are pink…it was a joke."
