Storage tip for boxes.
I recently made a purchase where the model was stored in a very musty area. I'm currently trying to get the smell out the car and the box.
Searching the internet, I found a tip to make your own silica storage packs at a greatly reduced price.
Walmart sells 4 Lb.bags of Silica sand cat litter under the name 'Mimi Cat Litter' for $5.00. You can also buy a box of try on foot socks, the kind shoe stores provide. I bought a box of a hundred sox on Ebay. I put a couple of tablespoons of silica sand in the sock, tie it up like a balloon and throw in a couple when I need to store my models and/or boxes. That litter goes a long way, I bought two bags and only used half a bag so far.
